Aurora came about when my mother Isabel Rose, an ardent animal lover, decided that she would live out her retirement with me. Mum loved my boy Magnus and specifically wanted a Finnish Lapphund as a companion dog with a nice calm temprament and so we started searching for a suitable puppy. At the same time the "Dynamic" litter had been whelped at Articmal kennels and Vanessa was looking for a co-owner for her pick bitch.
Mum had decided that her girl was to be named Aurora, meaning "New Day", as mum had just been diagnosed with cancer and she was facing a new beginning in her life. Unfortunately the cancer spread rapidly and 6 days before Aurora was due to arrive, mum passed away.
Aurora arrived at my house the day Mum's wake was held and was greeted by the extended family and friends where it was decided by my sister that she would be named "Aurora-Rose" in honour of mum.
AR as she is affectionatley known, is everything mum would have wanted in a dog. Proud and regal in her bearing as well as being the best bed warmer around. She loves nothing more than cuddles and to be close by as well as having an outstanding show career. AR is also the "Alpha" in my pack and keeps young & old in line with just a look.

Aurora-Rose has been semi-retired in prepartion for motherhood and on the 18th March 2012, whelped the "Electric" litter for Articmal Kennels.
