Magnus is the one that started my involvement with this beautiful breed. I had made an enquiry to Theldaroy kennels to see how well Siberian Huskies & Finnish Lapphunds exisited together, thinking that in a few years time I might venture into showing something different.
At the time of my enquiry, there were two litters due to be born and I loved the look and proud stance on Jukka - Fin Ch Chelville Tapio (UK), so I selected a little Black Tan & White ball of fluff from the (AI) "NV" litter. Little was I to know how much my life would change, how many great people I would meet and the whirlwind ride we were about to embark on.
He is the youngest GR Ch Lappie, having attained the title at 2yr 7 mth & 25 days, a record for any breed.
A versatile dog, Magnus is the first Finnish Lapphund Therapy dog in Australia, enjoys herding in his spare time and is my constant companion at work and home.
Magnus has been in retirement since 2010 but still comes to the shows to watch his progeny strut their stuff in the ring and occaisionally prances around the ring himself to show them how it is done.
