All paperwork is finally in place for Odin's arrival and we should see him touchdown in Sydney on the 22nd August !!

It has taken many months of planning, a change of country, re vaccinating for rabies and meeting the AQIS requirements but it looks like the end is drawing near. This is a journey that commenced over two years ago and to see it come to fruition is a dream come true. Odin will be my first import and at times it has been scary but not nearly as hard or expensive as I thought it was going to be.

While in Swedan, Odin has sired his first litter which were born in Norway on the 20th July. He also has two upcoming litters in Swedan for his breeder Sarah, that will be born after he arrives here.
It will be lovely to watch his kids grow and enter the show rings of Scandanavia and Europe and we wish all the new future owners well. I can't wait to get him in the show ring here.

We are also expecting a lovely little girl to join the SnoFyre show team towards the end of 2012 and another mid to late 2013.
The proposed changes by AQIS about the length of time imported dogs need to stay in quarentine here in Australia will be beneficial to many Lappie owners. Currently it is 30 days and if the changes come into affect it will only be 10 days. These changes will not affect Odin but could be influential in the future.

Today it was Max's turn to shine!
Maximus is from the first litter produced by Ausvarg Finnish Lapphunds. His sire is my boy Magnus, Gr Ch Theldaroy Green with NV (AI) and his dam is Scribble,Aust Ch Articmal Tarkya Kastanja.
A lovely blend, well most of the time, of both his parents, Max has the breadth of skull, width of muzzle and coat of his sire combined with the movement and showy attitude of his dam. He also has the need to be the centre of my universe! A fact that anybody in the Working Dog ring in NSW can attest to.
Max would quite loudly let anybody know if I had moved outside his perimeter of comfort. He has been lots of fun to show and it has been well worth it in the end.
